360 view of the Icepod test facility at Lamont Doherty Earth Observatory. The icepod is being tested and inspected before being reassembled ready for shipping to Antarctica where it will be used to study the Ross Ice Shelf as part of the Rosetta program. This program funded by the National Science Foundation is designed to provide baseline measurements of the state of the shelf and to provide high resolution data about the bathymetry beneath the shelf.
